I am probably known for my heartbreakingly POP art type imagery. I mix comic and graffiti style, color and spookiness with heartbreak and loss. Collage is my first love. Ripped paper and mixed media, putting the world
together the way I see it. It has served me well, and I bring that same sense to my colorful digital work.
Digital art came out of necessity for a street art style public art project I did in Riverhead. I would scan collage work into the computer and work on it more.
I am from a big beautiful Puerto Rican family. All of what I do is influenced in some way from the love in my life. From listening to hip hop with my brothers and sister, which started my love for old school hop hop culture and graffiti and street art. My mother and grandmothers' sense of style in the ornate and classic, as well as their badass personalities. My fathers humor and strength as a superhero to me, is why I adore comic art. I was twice married, and widowed to the sweetest and smartest human beings I know; they influenced my use of the spooky and ghostly themes of lost love in my work.
I use color and sadness to break your heart.
