Conceived by juror, Ruben Natal-San Miguel, renowned photographer, writer, photography specialist/critic, and curator, who has photographically documented summer in all five boroughs of NYC. The beaches of NYC are a conglomeration of the masses, enjoying one of their "Rites" of summer appearing to be undivided by the Socio-ecomic statuses which so often dictate their "Rights". The "Lazy Days of Summer" are rejoiced by the 1% in places like the Hamptons, Palm Beach, and the French Riviera, where the 99% celebrate at Jones Beach, Lake Michigan, and barbeque on the streets of Harlem.
